Teen Payroll Spreadsheet
The Teen Payroll activity taught us how to use formulas and calculate gross and net pay. We used Microsoft Office Excel for this assignment and learned to use formulas that applied specifically to this activity. We also did highlighting of columns to make them stand out. In this project I learned how to find the net and gross pay of a set of data. In this assignment I completed all directions thoroughly and carefully in order to do the project correctly. If I had to do the project again I would apply a background and nicer looking headings. I would format the document to look more attractive and presentable.
Formula Features Spreadsheet
The Formula Functions spreadsheet lesson taught me how to create a grade book to calculate grades of students. This assignment was done in Microsoft Office Excel. I learned how to find the total of a list of numbers with a function of excel. I also learned how to use excel formulas to find the class average, the highest and lowest average, and the number of exams taken per class. I followed all the directions and filled in all the data for the activity correctly. One thing I would change if I had to do the activity over again is the formatting of the spreadsheet. I would make it more colorful, possibly highlight certain comlumns or numbers and make the subtitles look better.
Raises Spreadsheet
In the Raises spreadsheet I learned how use the "IF" function to calculate employee pay raises. I used the "IF" function on the set of data to find the percent increase of the group's pay raises based on the years of service that the employee had done. This activity was completed using Microsoft Office Excel. In this document I formatted the information appropraitely, including the header and footer. To improve my work I could have expanded on the answers to the questions we had for after completing the assignment and explained them in more detail.
